Lee -- Aye...yiiii...yiii...yiii! : Our friend, Saxony, has just started her first year at Arcturus Academy for Fire Mages planning to finish her high school senior year credits simultaneously. Just one problem, or I should say a few problems. She is charged with helping tutor April who can barely use her fire power. Annndd there is the problem of Ryan, the evil popular twin who fools everyone into thinking he is Mr. Wonderful .... and who is out to get Saxony. Then there is the good twin, Gage, who is Saxony’s crush. All the characters in this book are very well developed. You may recognize some of them as ones you may have gone to school with yourself. Reading this book makes me verrryyyy glad I am no longer in school. With all the challenges Saxony has to face, she seems to come out ahead but....then we have the dreaded cliffhanger which serves its function as an enticement to highly anticipate the next book. Oh what...oh what will Saxony do? Ms. Knorr knows her stuff with words, a very talented author. I have loved everything I have read of hers and know that when I pick up a book written by her that I will be highly entertained. ( Reviewed in the United States on September 30, 2020 )
- 5.0 out of 5 stars from Alina Tache -- Amazing new series in the Elemental Universe : I have fallen in love with Ms. Knorr's Elemental Universe and it seems with every book I end up daydreaming about how awesome it would be to live in it. In this case, how awesome it would be to have literal fire power. This new series follows Saxony, who we've previously met in Born of Fire. That was when she got the power to create and control fire. Now, she learns more about the fire mage world. And she starts by attending an academy - Arcturus Academy for fire mages. What she learns there is... simply amazing. Ms. Knorr's creativity astounds me. She took something that appeared simple (the power to control fire) and created to many intricate details around it. I honestly have no idea how to give more details without giving spoilers, so I'll just stop at that. What you need to know, dear potential reader who is considering to buy this book, is that this books deserves your time, attention and all the emotions you'll go through with Saxony! Get it! Saxony's tale will keep you on the edge of your seat and not wanting to put it down until the end.... but then coming from Abby, that's not unusual at all! Ha! Saxony is finishing her senior year via correspondence while being privately tutored by the Headmaster Basil Chaplin. He fears she has lost some of her empathy and tasks her to bring it back by tutoring poor April.. who most definitely pushes her buttons!! Yeesh!! Then to find out her crush, Gage, twin brother Ryan is trying to woo April for selfish reasons, and when confronted causes everyone to believe his version of things making her the outcast even more. Ha... now you HAVE to read it to find out the details!!! You will love this book, I promise.. can't wait for the 2nd book of the series!!!! ( Reviewed in the United States on October 2, 2020 )

She isn't the only one from her hometown either. One set of identical twins, except one is nice and the other is overly ambitious. It is Saxony’s development as a burned fire mage at a school for mages. While the first few chapters seemed sort of long as Saxony chases a thief through the school, the scenes help us learn a lot about Saxony’s and her potential as a mage. The rest of the book helps us to see how Saxony will be shaped by her experiences. There is a bit of romance. There is quite a lot of conflict and a bit of mystery.
